18.9 Replacing the counterbalance spring
The spring, chain or quick link are replaced following the procedure below:
To be able to remove the counterbalance unit, you must loosen it first by opening the barrier slightly
further than the vertical position (screw the opening stop)
A-
After loosening it, remove the counterbalance unit with its chain by removing the quick link
of the pinion
B-
Unscrew the locknut and nut
C- Remove the spring bearing washer
D- Remove the spring
E-
Remove the locking device with its chain
F-
Remove the spring centring pin
G- Dismantle the quick link from the locking device
