Message List
This is a list of messages that appear in the printer's system log. The system log
can be viewed using the "syslog" command.
System Log Information
Use the following command to display the system log information:
• UNIX: Use the "syslog" command and "rsh", "rcp", and "ftp" parameters.
• telnet : Use the “syslog” command.
Message
Problem and solutions
Access to NetWare server <file server name>
denied. Either there is no account for this print
server on the NetWare server or the password
was incorrect.
(In the print server mode) Login to the file
server failed. Make sure that the print server is
registered on the file server. If a password is
specified for the print server, delete it.
add_sess: bad trap addr:<IpAddress>, com-
munity:<community name>
The IP address (0.0.0.0.) is unavailable when
the community access type is TRAP. Specify
the host IP address for the TRAP destination.
add_sess: community<community name> al-
ready defined.
The same community name already exists.
Use another community name.
add_sess_ipx: bad trap addr: <IPXaddress>,
community:<community name>
The IPX address (00:00:00:00:00:00) is unavail-
able when the community access type is
TRAP. Specify the host IPX address for the
TRAP destination.
add_sess_ipx: community <community
name> already defined.
The same community name already exists.
Use another community name.
Attach FileServer= <file server name>
Connection to the file server as the nearest
server has been established.
Attach to print queue <print queue name>
(In the print server mode) Attached to the
print queue.
btd is disabled.
Communication via Bluetooth is unavailable
because btd is disabled in the security mode.
Enable the btd in the security mode.
centrod is disabled.
Communication via parallel connection is un-
available because centrod is disabled in the se-
curity mode.
Enable centrod in the security mode.
Cannot create service connection
(In the remote printer mode) Connection to the
file server has not been established. The
number of file server users may have exceeded
the maximum capacity of the file server.
Cannot find rprinter (<print server
name>/<printer number>)
The printer with the number displayed on the
print server does not exist. Make sure that the
printer number is registered on the print server.
