Transport Safety Chain
a.
Attach transport safety chain to chisel plow
hitch with 1" x 8

" bolt furnished with machine
bundle. Tighten bolt securely
(See Figure
.
b.
Attach chain clevis to tractor drawbar with
bolt and locknut furnished in chain bundle.
c.
Thread chain through clevis, then attach
chain around tractor drawbar frame. Adjust
chain slack to allow chisel plow to turn
(See
Figure 4-11)
.
d.
Connect chain hook and secure with latch.
WARNING
ALWAYS USE TRANSPORT SAFETY
CHAIN WHEN TRANSPORTING IMPLE-
MENT. FAILURE TO DO SO COULD
CAUSE SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY
AND MACHINE DAMAGE IF IMPLE-
MENT BECOMES UNHOOKED FROM
TOWING VEHICLE.
4-6 PURGING THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
Purge the air from the hydraulic system before
going to the field:
a.
Hold tractor hydraulic control lever in “open”
position a few seconds after implement is fully
raised.
b.
Lower implement and hold lever in “closed”
position a few seconds after implement is fully
lowered.

RECHECK FLUID LEVEL IN TRACTOR
RESERVOIR AFTER PRIMING HY-
DRAULIC SYSTEM. FAILURE TO DO
SO CAN RESULT IN PERSONAL IN-
JURY AND / OR DAMAGE TO TRAC-
TOR OR IMPLEMENT. ADD FLUID AS
REQUIRED.
