4-8 FOLDING AND UNFOLDING WINGS
4-8.1
To fold or unfold the wings on folding mod-
els, turn the selector valve to “WING FOLD”
position.

TO AVOID SERIOUS INJURY OR
DEATH, STOP TRACTOR ENGINE, DIS-
ENGAGE PTO, SHIFT TO PARK POSI-
TION OR SHIFT TO NEUTRAL AND
SET BRAKES BEFORE LEAVING
TRACTOR.

Start the tractor and operate the valve con-
trolling the disc cutter frame to raise or lower
the wings.
4-8.3
After wings are folded or unfolded, return
the selector valve to the original position, al-
lowing independent control of the disc cutter
frame.
4-8.4
Allow the wings to fully rest on wing frame
stands when folded.
4-9 DEPTH CONTROL (ALL MODELS - MAIN AND CUTTER FRAMES)
4-9.1
When desired depth is attained, add stop
collars to the main frame lift cylinder rod so
the implement will return to the same depth
each time it is lowered. Install the thickest
collar nearest the cylinder. Store remaining
collars on storage racks.
4-9.2
Use the same procedure for regulating cut-
ter frame depth.
Note: Stop collars are not used on main
frame or cutter frame
wing cylinders
.
4-9.3
An electronic depth control system is avail-
able as an option (see OPTIONS Section).
An operator’s manual is included with the
depth control bundle. See your dealer for ad-
ditional information.
