1. Check that the five flame regulators of the main burners (A1, A2) are
turned to "OFF". The rotisserie burner may not be used together with the
main burners.
2. Pull the electric motor (C) forwards up to the stop.
3. Push one of the meat clamps onto the skewer (D) (spikes point inwards
towards the meat), then the meat (as near to the centre as possible) and
then the other meat clamp (spikes point inwards towards the meat).
Align everything to the centre, push the meat clamps into the meat and
tighten the screws of the meat clamps.
D
4. Insert the marked end of the skewer into the hole on the motor and rest
the other end of the skewer on the seating on the right side of the grill.
5. Insert the power cord of the motor while observing the safety instructions
on Page 11 into a 230 V mains socket, turn the switch on the motor to
"ON" and check that the skewer turns evenly; otherwise reposition the
meat.
A4
6. Press the flame regulator (A4), turn it anticlockwise to "High" and hold it
down for approx. 5 seconds.
If the gas in the rotisserie burner does not ignite within the 5
seconds, turn the flame regulator (A4) back to "OFF", wait for 5
minutes and then repeat step 6.
In case an igniter doesn't work, it is also possible to light the burner with a match. If you are doing this it is
imperative
that you use the match holder located in the trolley frame. Without this you will
burn yourself
. Keep the greatest
possible distance from the burner. Hold the match holder with a lit match close to the rotisserie burner. Then press the
appropriate flame regulator (A4) and turn it anti-clockwise to the "High" setting.
3. Turn the flame regulator (A4) to the desired heat setting.
From time to time while using the rotisserie burner open the grill hood, so that the grill is not damaged
from the extremely high heat output.
To switch off the rotisserie burner (extinguish the flame) press and turn the flame regulator (A4) clockwise
to "OFF". Afterwards remove the food and push the motor to the back in order to protect it from becoming
soiled.
Switching off barbecue
1. Close the cylinder valve on the gas cylinder (turn operating lever (G2) to a 3 o'clock position).
2. Turn all of the flame regulators (A) to "OFF".
3. Wait until all of the parts have cooled down and then clean any soiled components (see chapter "Cleaning").
4. Close the hood and make sure that the designated measures are undertaken so that the grill is protected from rain and
environmental influences (e.g. cover with a canvas cover).
5. If the heater is not going to be used for a prolonged period:
– Disconnect the gas cylinder (see chapter "Disconnecting the gas cylinder").
– Store the barbecue in a dry place.
