Light the side burner
DANGER: Severe burns caused by gas deflagration
When operating the flame regulator (A3), gas flows into the side burner. This gas burns
rapidly when ignited.
For your own safety:
• Only ignite the side burner when the side burner lid is open;
doing this avoids
it being thrown up in the event of possible deflagration.
• Do not lean over the side burner while actuating the flame regulator.
Maintain the greatest possible distance
to avoid being burnt in the case of a
possible explosion.
DANGER: Risk of severe burns and damage to the barbecue when operating the
side burner with the lid closed
If the side burner is operated when the lid is closed, it will be heated so severely that it will
become damaged and there is also a significant risk of burning by touching the lid.
A particular danger is that a gas flame is often difficult to see due to its blue colouring,
particularly in bright sunlight. Therefore it cannot be excluded that the lid may be closed
accidentally, even though the gas flame is still burning.
For your own safety:
• Only ignite the side burner when you need it.
• Immediately afterwards place your cookware on the burner.
• Disconnect the gas supply before removing your cookware.
CAUTION
Only use cookware (pots or pans) on the side burner that has been approved for use on gas
cooking appliances. Cookware that is unsuitable for gas appliances may be damaged.
The size of the cookware used must be suited to that of the side burner. The cookware
must be able to stand securely on the side burner.
