WARNING
!
To avoid serious injury or death:
Before removing shipping hardware, support underside of
shank tube with blocking near the pivot bracket to prevent Box
Scraper from tipping forward and causing bodily injury.
1.
Support underside of main frame tube near the
hydraulic cylinder mount with blocking to prevent unit
from tipping forward while setting-up the Box
Scraper. See Figure 1-3 for location of the main
frame tube.
2. Remove hydraulic cylinder, two 90 degree fittings
and two hydraulic hoses from the parts bag.
Refer to Figure 1-3:
3. Unscrew and remove the two plastic caps sealing the
cylinder ports.

6. Remove a plastic cap from one end of hydraulic
hose (#4) and attach it to fitting (#3). Tighten
hydraulic hose to the fitting.
7.
Remove a plastic cap from one end of the other
hydraulic hose (#4) and attach it to fitting (#2).
Tighten hydraulic hose to the fitting.
Refer to Figure 1-3:
8. Remove 1/8" cotter pin (#3) and 3/4" clevis pin (#4).
9. With a 5/16" open box end wrench, unscrew
5/16" -18 x 3/4" square head setscrew (#2) and
remove upper pivot pin (#1).
10. Attach base end of cylinder (#5) to the upper
mounting bracket with pivot pin (#1). Secure pivot pin
with 5/16" -18 square head setscrew (#2). Tighten
setscrew to proper torque.
11. Remove remaining plastic caps from other end of
hydraulic hoses to allow the hoses to breath. Be
careful not to get dirt into the hydraulic hoses.
12. Manually pull on the cylinder rod end to align it with
the lower mounting lugs.
13. Attach cylinder rod end to the mounting lugs with
3/4" clevis pin (#4) and 1/8" cotter pin (#3). Bend one
leg of cotter pin to secure clevis pin.
