The
swing
tamp
should
fully
extend
to
contact
the
product
for
a
moment
to
apply
the
label
and
then
immediately
retract.
If
the
swing
tamp
returned
without
contacting
the
product,
increase
the
LABEL
ON
PRODUCT
POSITION
and
repeat
until
the
label
is
applied
correctly.
If
the
swing
tamp
or
tamp
pad
contacted
the
product
before
the
swing
tamp
reached
full
extension,
decrease
the
LABEL
ON
PRODUCT
POSITION
and
repeat
until
the
label
is
applied
correctly.

of

excess
of
40
milliseconds
may
not
be
effective
due
to
the
speed
of
the
swing
arm.

If
there
is
a
delay
between
the
swings
tamp
returning

the
stop

beginning

the
next
label
feed,
decrease
the
SWING
TAMP
RETRACT

Reduction
of
this
time
will
reduce
the
total
machine
cycle
time.

feeds
onto
the
tamp
pad.
If
the
tamp
pad
is
bouncing
when
the
label
begins
to
feed
the
TAMP
SETTLE
TIME
must
be
increased
to
prevent
possible
label
jams.
Adjust
until
the
tamp
pad
is
stationary
when
the
label
begins
to
feed.

dispenses
onto
the
tamp
pad.
Adjust
the
air
assist
air
pressure
and
position
the
air
assist
tube
so
that
the
dispensing
label
feeds
directly
onto
the
tamp
pad.

Check
that
the
label
has
completely
dispensed
and
is
held
by
the
vacuum
at
the
end
of
label
feed.
If
necessary,
increase
the
EXTEND
AIR
ASSIST
time
to
insure
that
the
label
is
fully
seated
on
the
tamp
pad
at
the
end
of
label
feed.
