6.4 CH INFO MENU
The Channel Information (CH INFO) menu displays information about the currently selected
channel. The information displayed varies between conventional and trunked systems. The
Channel Information (CH INFO) menu display is only available if a Channel Edit Password has
been programmed via RPM2.
To display channel information:
1. Press
while on the idle display.
2. Press the up or down navigation buttons to scroll through the programmed channel settings.
CONVENTIONAL OR P25 CHANNELS ONLY:
3. Press the
EDIT
soft key.
4. Enter the password. You may now select and change the values of the displayed channel
parameters. The password remains active until power cycle. Refer to Section 7.3 for more
information.
6.5 AUDIO SETTINGS
From this menu, you can set audio settings such as speaker mute, noise cancellation, PTT, and
tones.
1. Press the Menu/Select button to access the main menu.
2. Press the left or right navigation buttons to display the
UTILITY
menu.
3. Press the up or down navigation buttons highlight
AUDIO SETTINGS
and press the
Menu/Select button.
4. Press the up or down navigation buttons to scroll through available audio settings. Press the
Select/Menu button to change settings as desired:
•
SPEAKER
- Mute or Unmute the speaker audio.
•
NOISE CANCELLATION
- Enable or disable noise cancellation. Noise cancellation
reduces background noise during transmit.
•
PTT
- Enable or disable Push-To-Talk (PTT). Disable PTT to prevent accidental keying,
such as when the radio is in a holster or you are getting into a car.
