INSTALLATION
6.1
Rigging and Flying the Line Source Array (with KIBU)
Before installation, in order to position and correctly place the array the user will need to use
L-ACOUSTICS
®
SOUNDVISION
software to determine:
•
Correct hole position of the shackle on the KIBU
•
Number of Loudspeakers KIVA and KILO
•
Inter angle between enclosures for both KIVA and KILO
•
Check of the system’s mechanical conformity
The rigging method for the KIVA system comprises the elements KIBU, KILO, and KIVA. Attaching one element to the
next is done using fully integrated components unique to each KIVA and KILO, there is no need for any other external
fastening accessory. Each loudspeaker incorporates two points in front that lock into the device above or below
depending on the configuration, and rear angle bar with an automatic release locking pin.
The following procedure will describe the method for a basic configuration (KIBU and a limited number of enclosures)
which will then be flown to accommodate more enclosures in the array.
6.1.1
Preparing to rig the KIBU to the first enclosure
To hang the first enclosure (KIVA or KILO) of the Line Source Array, the procedure is as follows (described here using
the KILO enclosure):
1.
Position the shackle in the correct hole predetermined in the SOUNDVISION configuration. In the example
below, for the correct suspension point, the shackle is screwed in hole position ‘‘5’’ of the KIBU:

The Shackle is provided
with a Safety cotter pin.
