while driving, check the local laws and
regulations on the use of portable wireless phones in vehicles. Always
obey them, and exercise caution while driving.
The following guidelines are based on recommendations of the Cellular
Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA).
1.
Get to know your wireless phone and its features such as speed dial
and redial.
2.
Use a hands-free device such as the Hands-free Headset. For ordering
information, see “Accessories” on page 50.
3.
Position your wireless phone within easy reach. If you get a call at an
inconvenient time, let your voice mail answer it for you.
4.
Let the person with whom you are speaking know you are driving.
5.
Do not use any of the Palm applications while driving.
6.
Dial sensibly. If possible, place calls when you are not moving or
before pulling into traffic.
7.
Do not engage in stressful or emotional conversations.
