Set Eco Mode
View Gmail
1. From the home screen, touch
Main Menu

2. At the main menu, touch
Gmail
.
3. At the Gmail screen, you can do one of the
following:
– Touch an email thread to open the
thread.
– Touch and hold an email thread to
access features for that specific thread.
– Press the
Menu
key to access more
features.
Note:
To select multiple email threads, touch
the check box next to the threads. Touch the
check box again to deselect. Options that apply
to multiple email threads appear at the bottom
of the screen.
Create an Email
1. From the home screen, touch
Main Menu

2. At the main menu, touch
Gmail
.
3. At the Gmail screen, press the
Menu
key.
4. Touch
Compose
.
5. At the compose screen, enter a recipient’s
email address.
6. Enter a subject. Touch and hold the text
entry field to access more text entry
features.
7. Enter a message. Touch and hold the text
entry field to access more text entry
features.
8. If applicable, press the
Menu
key to access
more Gmail features.
9. When done, touch
Send
.
Reply to an Email
1. From the home screen, touch
Main Menu
icon
.
2. At the main menu, touch
Gmail
.
3. At the Gmail screen, touch an email thread.
4. Scroll to bottom of any message and touch
Reply
.
5. Enter a message. Touch and hold the text
entry field to access more text entry
features.
6. If applicable, press the
Menu
key to access
more Gmail features.
7. When done, touch
Send
.
Set Eco Mode
You can conserve the battery life while you use
your device.
1. From the home screen, touch
Main Menu
icon
.
2. At the main menu, touch
Eco Mode
.
3. At the Eco Mode screen, adjust the slider
bar to one of the following:
–
Always
to always use
Eco Mode
when
your device is on.
–
10-90%
to automatically switch your
device to
Eco Mode
according to
remaining battery power.
–
Never
to disable
Eco Mode
.
Touch
Eco settings
to adjust your
Eco Mode
settings. Select the items you want to set. The
leaf icon turns green when selected.
