This camera features a "

" shooting mode that automatically sets the
optimum photography settings for your subject.
Selecting the Scene Mode

Set the mode select dial to "

" and
turn the camera on.
The Scene Mode menu screen appears.

button to
select the best shooting mode for your
subject.

This sets the shooting mode and you can now take pictures in that mode.
To change the shooting mode, press the MENU button

and select the shooting mode again.

Remove the lens cap before turning the camera on.

• This setting reverts to its default value when you turn the camera off. To retain the
setting, set Mode Lock (

• In the "

" mode, each time you switch the modes, the settings are reset to the
default settings.
