Vehicle identification number
The vehicle identification number (also known as the VIN or
frame number) is a 17-digit number stamped on the right side
of the frame. At this same location is the VIN compliance label.
When you take delivery of your motorcycle, check that the VIN
stamped on your motorcycle and imprinted on the label is the
same as the VIN listed in the bill-of-sale and the warranty docu-
ments you receive from your dealer.
Engine serial number
The engine serial number (also known as the ESN) is stamped
on left side of the engine case.
