Engine oil inspection
Check the oil level each time you ride your motorcycle.
1. Place your motorcycle on its center stand (on level ground).
2. Check the oil level at the oil level window in the right engine
cover.
3. Verify that the oil level is between the “upper limit” and the
“lower limit” in the window.
4. If the oil level is below the “lower limit”, add engine oil until
the oil level rises to the “upper limit”.
Specified Oil Type:
SAE 15W-40
API Rating:
SJ (or greater)
Oil Capacity:
1.30 qt (1.2L)
Oil Capacity (during oil change):
0.95 qt (0.9L)
The engine and exhaust can become very hot after use.
Be very careful when inspecting the engine oil level so
you do not burn yourself.
Use a motor oil that has been formulated for use in a
four-stroke motorcycle engine. Automotive oils will
not meet your motorcycle’s requirements and can
cause premature wear of the engine components.
