Switching Between Satellites
The status column on the TracNet interface screen includes a
Switch
button for easy switching between the TracVision
antenna’s two programmed satellites.

Switching Satellites When Online
If you are connected via the broadband service:
Click the
Switch
button. Within 10 seconds, the Internet
connection shifts to the narrowband service and your master
receiver assumes control of the TracVision antenna. The antenna
tracks whichever satellite is currently selected by the receiver.
If you are connected via the narrowband service:
Use your master receiver’s remote control to select any TV
channel on the broadband satellite, then
click the
Switch
button
.
Within 10 seconds, the Internet connection shifts to the high-
speed broadband service and your TracVision antenna starts
tracking the broadband satellite (Satellite A). The receiver loses
control of the TracVision antenna.
Whenever you disconnect from a broadband Internet session, the
receiver assumes control of the TracVision antenna for satellite
television service.

When switching from the
broadband satellite to the TV
satellite, any current sessions
(browser, e-mail, etc.) may need to
be restarted.
If you click the
Switch
button, and
the TracVision antenna takes longer
than one minute to start tracking
the new satellite, try updating the
antenna’s GPS setting. Refer to
“TracVision Antenna Not Set to
Correct GPS Position” on
page 36.
