ADJUSTING DRILL UNIT
This unit comes preset from the factory with two settings to drill on the centerline of
either a 1 ¾” or 1 11/16” door. Should you find you require a change of height because of
the thickness of your door being under or oversize, it is just a matter of removing the two
1/8” pins for the other height. Two setscrews will drop in holes that the two1/8” pins
were in thereby allowing a different setting.
Should you require adjusting the drill to make it drill perpendicular to the edge of the
door adjust the two locating screws that are in the vertical plates, looking from the rear of
the drill.
To Adjust Horizontally:
There are two adjusting screws below, and to the front and rear of the main body.
Screwing the front one in will lower the front of the drill, and screwing the back
one will raise the drill.
Depth of Drilling:
There really is very little adjustment as far as the depth. The only adjustment is by
shimming the back of the cylinder out so the drill moves closer to the door edge.
By doing this, you are able to drill deeper. This is the only adjustment to be made.
Adjusting the Bolt Plate Router:
The
BOLT PLATE ROUTER
is set up to cut a 1 X 2 – ¼”
BOLT PLATE
.
Set Up for Wood Rail:
Insert ½” diameter router bit with a ¼” shank into router motor.
Loosen bottom Jam nut on router vertical cylinder.
Loosen Top Jam nut.
Insert a
5
/
8
” stop pin into threaded pin holder.
Insert a
5
/
8
” stop pin on each side of the horizontal cylinder.
BOLT PLATE ROUTER
is now set up to cut a 1 X 2 -¼”
BOLT PLATE
in a wood
rail.
