5.3
Required equipment
5.3.1 Power harrow blades
The machines are factory fitted with one of the
following blades:
Standard left and right blade.
or
Left and right long blades (special for potatoes).
The blades enable deep work in light or loose soils.
They are only intended for cultivating potatoes.
or
Left and right hard coated blades.
These blades are particularly suited for work in very
abrasive soils.
5.3.2 Crumbler roller
The roller is used as a protection device at
the rear of the machine. It must never be
removed for work.
The roller is an essential element of the harrow and
has the following 4 functions:
• Set and control the working depth.
• To pack the soil evenly behind the rotors and
create an optimum seedbed.
• To increase seedbed crumbling and clod break-
up.
• To improve seedbed levelling.
The Crumbler roller is adapted to dry or slightly wet
soils.
