6.2.9 Intermediate PTO shaft
Friction slip clutch
The intermediate PTO shaft is fitted with a friction
slip clutch.
Before carrying out any maintenance or
repairs on the machine, switch off the engine,
remove the key from the ignition, wait until all
moving parts are at a complete standstill and
apply the handbrake.
Before using the machine for the first time:

Grease the transmission

Before the machine is put into service and
after a long period of non-use, check the
function of slip clutch to ensure it is not
locked up.
- Uncouple the intermediate PTO shaft from the
central gearbox:
• (a): Place the machine in working position.
• (b): Press vertically on the 2 lugs using a
screwdriver to release the PTO shaft guard.
• (c): Slide the guard along the PTO shaft.
• (d): Uncouple the intermediate PTO shaft from
the central gearbox.
