be thrown forward.
1. Move the gear shift lever to the
neutral position.

2. Attach the engine shut-off cord to a se-
cure place on your clothing, or your arm or leg.
Then, install the clip on the other end of the
cord to the engine shut-off switch.
3. Align the engine start mark “ ” on the
throttle grip with the notch in the tiller handle.

TIP:
If the ambient temperature is -15°C or less,
turn the throttle grip so that the engine start
mark “ ” is positioned past the notch in the
tiller handle.
4. Pull out the choke knob fully.
