Park the vehicle on a surface that is as level as possible and activate the parking brake.

Fire hazard
Some vehicle components become very hot when the vehicle is operated.

Do not park the vehicle near flammable or explosive substances. Do not place objects on the vehicle while it is still warm from being
run. Always let the vehicle cool first.

Stop the vehicle and park it on a surface that is as level as possible.

Shift gear to neutral.

Switch off the engine. (

Remove the ignition key and the clip from the emergency OFF switch.

Pull the hand brake lever, push the locking pawl

down and release the hand brake
lever. (Figure 100006-10
The front wheels are locked.

Turn the handle

of the fuel tap to
OFF
No more fuel flows from the tank to the carburetor.

If the vehicle must be parked on an incline, additionally secure the rear wheels against
rolling (see illustration).

Refueling

Fuel is highly flammable.

Never refuel the vehicle near open flames or burning cigarettes, and always switch off the engine first. Be careful that no fuel is
spilt, especially on hot vehicle components. Clean up spilt fuel immediately.

Fuel in the fuel tank expands when warm and can escape if the tank is overfilled. See the notes on refueling.
