The pump has been securely placed in a horizontal position on wooden supports.
ü
The impeller has been removed.
1. Undo the grub screws (a) of mechanical seal 433.02. Pull the rotating assembly
of the mechanical seal off the shaft.
2. Undo socket head cap screw 914.55.
3. Press the stationary seat of mechanical seal 433.02 out of pump bowl 112. To do
so, use the jacking threads in the stationary seat of the mechanical seal.
Depending on the size of the mechanical seal, the jacking threads are either M6
or M8.
NOTE
To protect the mechanical seal against damage when pulling it off the shaft placing
a foil (no thicker than 0.3 mm) around the free shaft stub is recommended.

The impeller-end mechanical seal has been removed.
1. Attach the pump set to the lifting tackle and pull it upright. Set the pump set
down with pump bowl 112 on the bellmouth. (

2. Undo socket head cap screws 914.02.
3. Attach the lifting tackle to bail 571 and lift the pump set out of pump bowl 112.
