Basic Blade Setup
•
The setting of the blade is checked and corrected when the bale chamber is open. Secure
the tail gate from lowering accidentally. To do this bring the hydraulic shut-off tap on the
left hand tail gate hydraulic cylinder into the locked position.
•
Risk of crushing when lowering the pick up.
The checks and adjustments described below are made
with the bale chamber open and the pick up lowered.
a) Insert locking pawl (8). The blade (3) must now be at a
distance of c = 2 - 5 mm from the cutting edge (2). The
adjustment is made at the adjusting screw (9) on the
locking pawl. To make the adjustment undo the self-
locking nut and twist the screw accordingly. Tighten up
the self-locking nut again.
b) The distance from the slightly lowered spring bar (7) to
the adjusting screw (5) in the drive wheel (6) shaft must
be checked in two positions.
Dimension a: Distance from the diagonals on the tip of
the spring bar to the adjusting screw must be a = 1 mm.
Dimension b: Distance from the straight edge on the
spring bar to the adjusting screw must be b = 2 -3 mm.
To adjust the distance, undo screws (1) and shift the
spring bar. After successfully making the adjustment
tighten up the screws again.
After completing all of the adjustments, set the spring
bar (3) down on the adjusting screw. The head of the
adjusting screw (2) must rest against the lever (1).
Check the setting of the blade and correct if required, as
described above.
