12.3.5.
Adjusting the Height of the Baffle
Plate
The baffle plate (2) height adjustment is made using the
lever (1) on the front left hand side of the machine. The
compression rake is raised or lowered using a chain. The
contact pressure of the whole baffle plate on the crop is
adjusted at the adjusting screw (3) (left and right hand
sides). The extension spring (4) exerts a force on the
baffle plate tines. An adjustment is made at the holes,
position "5".
12.3.6.
Compression Rake
An additional compression rake (1) is mounted on the
pick up. It rests loose on top of the pick up. The
compression rake can be dismounted easily once the pin
(1) has been removed (its use is described in chapter
"Working with the Round Baler").
Risk of crushing when adjusting the
height of the baffle plate on the pickup.
Secure the pick up from accidental
lowering.
