3.1 Mounting
Installation and setup must be carried out according to the applicable installation standards
(e.g. EN 60079-14) by qualified personnel trained in explosion protection.
The information given in the manual and these instructions must always be observed.
Vortex flowmeters must be installed in such a way that
•
no external forces are affecting the indication unit.
•
the device is accessible for any necessary visual inspections and can be viewed from all sides.
•
the nameplate is clearly visible.
•
it can be operated from a location with secure footing.

Ensure area is known to be non hazardous before removing cover.
•
Do not open when energised or when an explosive atmosphere may be present.
•
Explosion hazard: Substitution of components may impair intrinsic safety.
•
Explosion hazard: Do not disconnect equipment unless power has been turned off or the area
is known to be non hazardous.
