Other sensor functions are:
• Geometry remote
• Spread remote
By default, a PX MultiSensor Mk2 can always make two measurements. An additional
license is required if you wish to make more than two measurements with your sensor.
Maximum three additional measurements can be added. Remote functions are not
considered as a measurement.
Note
When interfacing a PI type receiver unit, the maximum number of measurements a
sensor can make is two.
Interfaces
Once submerged, the sensor is automatically activated. In order to receive the
information from the sensor you need a suitable receiver and one or more hydrophones.
You also need a computer running a suitable visualization program. Currently, both
Simrad TV80 and Simrad PI50 support the PX MultiSensor Mk2sensor.
Sensor Configuration
Each individual sensor can be configured to specify its communication channel, which
measurements to make and some other relevant operating parameters.
Before a sensor is used for the first time, it must be configured. When configuration is
required, connect the sensor to a computer running the TV80 and/or PX Configurator
programs by means of the PX Configurator cable..
