Hands-free Usage
When the bar code reader is set into its stand, laser outputs continuously: thus bar code reading may
be carried out at any time without using the trigger.

Hold the bar code label on the cassette in front of
the reading window on the bar code reader.
• Since laser outputs continuously, the reading
process commences automatically.

Hold the cassette so that the bar code label of the
cassette is placed against the single bar code
reader.
• Reading starts.
• Successful completion of reading will be indicated by
a short beep tone and illumination of a green LED
indicator.
When using the bar code reader with a hands-free mode, the laser outputs continu-
ously. Be sure to avoid that the laser is radiated into eyes directly.
When reading the bar code, ensure that the laser scanning line crosses all the bars
and spaces.

When the laser beam

face at right angle, it
may fail to read proper-
ly. If failed, slightly
incline the bar code
reader, and try to read
