6.8.2 INSTALLING AND CONNECTING
THE EQUIPMENT
The equipment must be installed following the procedure indi-
cated in paragraph "3.13.4.1 CHANGING THE BACKHOE
BUCKET". Connect the delivery and return pipes by proceed-
ing as follows:
1 - After connecting the equipment, stop the engine and shift
the hydraulic controls in all directions, in order to release
the residual pressure from the machine circuits.
IMPORTANT
q
If the machine is equipped with backhoe servo controls,
to eliminate the residual pressure proceed as follows:
1 - With the engine at rest, turn the ignition key to posi-
tion « ».
2 - Press the servo control locking button and make
sure that the LED is off (release position) (see "3.3.2
pos. 12 - SERVO CONTROL LOCKING BUTTON").
3 - Shift the backhoe control levers more than once and
press the equipment controls.
4 - Turn the ignition key to position « ».
CAUTION
q
During the successive steps, take care to prevent any
impurities from getting into the circuit.
q
If any oil has been spilled, wipe it up immediately, in or-
der to prevent the surface from getting slippery.
2 - Remove the plugs of the two pipes and of the installed
equipment.
3 - Connect the delivery and return pipes.
4 - Start the machine and carry out several manoeuvres with
the pedal (1) or with the buttons (2-3) used to control the
equipment, in order to verify the tightness of the circuits.
WARNING
q
Wear thick gloves and safety goggles during this check.
q
To check the system for leaks, use a piece of cardboard
or a wooden board.
5 - Stop the machine and if necessary fasten the longer pipes
in order to avoid vibrations and therefore critical condi-
tions for the coupling connections.
6.8.3 MAINTENANCE
The hydraulic system does not require any maintenance oper-
ation and inspection other than those prescribed for the ma-
chine. Regarding the maintenance operations required for the
equipment, see the specific operation manuals.
