DRAINING THE WATER SEPARATOR

Fuel is flammable; do not use naked flames and do not
smoke while draining the water separator.

If some fuel is spilled, wipe it up immediately.
This operation serves to drain the condensate and must be car-
ried out with full tank, in order to prevent air from entering the fuel
circuit.
The condensate must be drained at the end of work, before the
engine has completely cooled down, in order to prevent it from
freezing if the temperature drops considerably.
The water separator can be reached after removing the engine
hood (see "3.5.1 ENGINE HOOD").
Drain the condensate by loosening the plug (1), waiting until only
clear diesel oil flows out.
