5.7 Operating the cursor ON/OFF key
When the Plotter screen is active the cross cursor is turned on/off by pressing the ”CURS” key.
The “CURS” key only functions in the Plotter screen.
5.8 POB key operation (emergency rescue)
When the POB key is pressed, the latitude and longitude coordinates of own ship’s position is
immediately stored as a POB location. The POB location coordinates as well as the distance and
direction from the ship’s current position are displayed in the navigation data section at the top of the
screen.
Furthermore, each screen will have the following.
- Plotter screen
: The POB location becomes a WP.
- NAV DATA screen
: The WP changes into POB data.
- HIGHWAY

COMPASS screen
: The WP changes into POB data.
- Navigation Data screen
: The background color changes from gray to red.
Updating the POB position and canceling the audio alarm.
(1) Press the POB key again. The next soft-menu will be displayed.
(2) If the POB is canceled, the navigation data display will return to the previous data. The Plotter
changes to the previous WP.
(3) The NAV DATA POB location returns to the previous WP location.
When the cross
cursor is on and

cursor appears.
