7.2.5 Deburring circular knives
Deburring produces abrasive particles that can enter the eyes.
Wear safety glasses.
CAUTION
Reduce the grinding pressure almost completely.
Swivel the deburring arm (7-24/1) over the cutting
edge of the circular knife.
The deburring wheel (7-24/2) should rest approx.
15 mm off-center on the cutting edge of the
circular knife.
The deburring wheel rotates slowly over the rotat-
ing circular knife. Under water cooling, the burr is
removed in a few revolutions of the knife.
If necessary, and after consultation with KNECHT,
the deburring wheel can be swiveled.
To do so, loosen the hexagon screw (7-25/1)
by rotating counterclockwise with an open end
wrench, width across flats 10 mm.
Swivel the deburring arm to the desired position.
Retighten the hexagon screw (7-25/1).
