12.1
Packaging
Gebrüder Martin will take back the full packaging upon request. to recycle as many parts of the packaging as
possible.
If you do not wish to make use of this offer, you can dispose of the packaging as paper and household waste.
12.2
Environment-Friendly Device Operations
We recommend switching off the unit during longer operating breaks to ensure increased operating safety
and particularly an energy-efficient use of the unit.
If disposable articles are used during treatment, we point out that these may be disposed of via domestic or
problematic waste only after careful cleaning, disinfection and possibly sterilization. Infected sharp parts of
single-use products must be handled like any other “sharps” (cannulas, needles and scalpels) in accordance
with valid regulations (disposal via microbiologically tight and puncture-proof containers).
When vaporizing tissue, ensure that you do not inhale the combustion fumes that form by design over a
longer period in concentrated form. During regular use of the unit, no pollutants other than these
combustion products will be formed.
For removal of such combustion products, a fume suction system can be used.
12.3
Disposal of the Unit
When the unit was designed, composite materials were avoided wherever possible. This allows a high
degree of recycling after the lifetime of the unit. We therefore offer to take the device back for proper
disposal and recycling. Be sure to observe your national / local rules and regulations governing disposal!
