Instructions for Use

Electrosurgical Unit Minicutter

Revision 08

Gases in the Operation Area

Danger of explosion and fire!

Materials saturated with oxygen, such as cotton or gauze, may catch fire from the sparks that occur during

the intended use of the electrosurgical device. Sparking on the active electrode will always occur when

using electrosurgical devices.
There is the additional risk of accumulation of flammable liquids under the patient or in bodily cavities.

Therefore, please note:

If possible, do not use flammable agents for cleaning or disinfection.

Combustible substances that are used for cleaning or disinfection or as solvents must be evaporated

and removed by ventilation before application of HF surgery.

Accumulations of combustible liquid under the patient, in depressions such as the navel or in body

cavities such as the vagina must be removed before any electrosurgical unit may be used.

In case of increased concentrations of oxygen and / or nitrous oxide in the area of the operation field,

special care must be taken.

Remove bubbles of pyrolysis and electrolysis gas in body cavities by appropriate irrigation to avoid

formation of significant accumulations.
