Applying Laser Light
CAUTION
Risk of injury to eyes if used without protective goggles!
•
Ensure that all persons present in the room including the patient are wearing protective
laser goggles.
•
Put on protective laser goggles before pressing the key

Make sure that all persons present are wearing protective goggles.
•
Also make sure the patient is wearing protective goggles.
•
Make sure that no one looks directly into the pilot laser light.
•
Check the selected parameters again.
CAUTION
Danger of fire!
Do not press the key
LASER READY
before the focusing handpiece is pointed at the
operation area and all measures to avoid laser-induced fires and explosions described above
are complied with.
NOTICE
Risk of damage to optics of the focusing handpiece!
Make sure that no blood, tissue or fume enters the handpiece during the treatment. The
optics of the focusing handpiece could be damaged due to the absorption increased thereby.
Particles that may stick to the optics must be removed, taking into account the cleaning
regulations. The focusing handpiece must be removed before any cleaning processes. For this
purpose, set the laser to STANDBY.
CAUTION
Danger of unintentional activation of laser light!
For safety reasons, the laser surgery device must be set to STANDBY if use is interrupted for
a longer period. As long as the green
STANDBY
key is lit, the laser cannot be activated
inadvertently.
