Refrigerant Sight Glasses Maintenance Operation

Be sure there are no bubbles or droplets in the refrigerant sight

glasses after five minutes of compressor operation.

If bubbles or droplets are noted, contact a service technician or the

factory.

Bubbles in the sight glass
indicate problems such as a
possible loss of refrigerant.

Oil droplets in the sight glass
may indicate severe problems
such as loss of refrigerant.

After 5 minutes of compressor
operation, the sight glass
should be clear and full of liquid
refrigerant.
