TROUBLESHOOTING
Try the solutions suggested here first in order to avoid the
cost of an unnecessary service call.
Nothing will operate
■
Is the main or regulator gas shutoff valve in the off
position?
See Installation Instructions.
■
Is the grill properly connected to the gas supply?
Contact a trained repair specialist or see Installation
Instructions.
■
Is the 5,000 mAmp power supply cord unplugged?
Plug into a grounded 3 prong outlet.
■
Was the small 500 mAmp power cord used instead of the
5,000 mAmp power cord?
Some grills are shipped with two power cords. The large
5,000 mAmp power supply cord must be used for connecting
the grill to a 120v power supply. If the small 500 mAmp
rotisserie power supply cord is used to connect the grill to
120v power supply, the igniters will not function.
■
Has a household fuse blown, or has a circuit breaker
tripped?
Replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker. If the problem
continues, call an electrician.
For models with electronic grill display
■
Was a Flame Time™ cycle used and all of the burner
valves not turned “OFF” after the end of the cycle?
Turn all of the burner valves to “OFF” position and then light
the burner using its lighting instructions.
■
Does an E-1 show in the display?
Turn all burner valves to their “OFF” position. Press Start/
Reset button. The E-1 code should go out.
■
Does “NP” show in the display?
Replace both 1.5 V “D” size alkaline batteries.
Cooking results not what expected
■
The exterior of beef and pork may become very dark, but not
burnt. This is normal. The interior will remain tender and juicy.
Poultry will also darken, especially in areas not covered by
skin.
