ROW UNIT OPERATION
Two adjustable springs on the parallel links on each
residue wheel allow for down force adjustment. Posi-
tion 1 as shown below provides minimum down pres-
sure and position 3 maximum down pressure.

For additional uplift or float, position springs as shown
below.

To adjust down force springs, raise the row unit out of
the ground and reposition springs as shown for the
desired down pressure.

A full threaded bolt and jam nut located on the upper link
allows maximum depth to be set for loose soil conditions.
Initial setting should be 1

Three holes in the upper link allow for wheel angle
adjustment. With the wheel mount in the most vertical
position, using the rear hole in the upper link, the
residue wheel is most aggressive. Moving the wheel
mount to one of the forward holes reduces the aggres-
siveness of the wheel for use in mulch till applications
where the soil is loose.

To lock the residue wheel up out of the ground, remove
the

" x 5" lockup bolt, raise the residue wheel and
install bolt.
