Horizontal Vent Table

To use the Horizontal Vent Table (see Table 1), determine the total vertical height of the system and the number of bends
required. Locate the value on the first column and then move across to see the corresponding maximum allowable
horizontal run.

All Measurements are from the bottom of the appliance.

The Horizontal Vent Table has been established for 90

˚

horizontal/vertical runs. Therefore, flex pipes that do not have 90

˚

bends will not fall into this vent table relationship.

A Safety Cage (FDVHSCU) is required if the Termination is accessible.

See

Flue Restrictor Adjustment

 Page for vertically vented Installations.

Minimum clearance to combustibles on venting is 1” with the following exceptions:
      -Top of horizontal is 2”.

-Top of 90 degree elbow in an enclosure under 72” is

5” with Wall Thimble Shield [Z57WTS].

-Top of 90 degree elbow in an enclosure over 72” is

4”.

-Minimum Enclosure Height is 60” (See “

Enclosure Heights”

page

 in this Manual).

-Minimum Termination Height from bottom of Unit is 51-1/2” plus ¼” rise per foot.

NOTE: The final location of the fireplace must be such that the horizontal vent dimensions fall within those stated on the
graph. The Maximum Vertical vent run is 43ft. Please refer to

Clearance to Combustibles

 information in this manual.
