DSGA Analyzer Settings

PWM Frequency

: Set the PWM Frequency.

Min: 3MHz

Default: 4.5MHz

Max: 9MHz

Compare Mode

For the DSGA, it is necessary to specify a rough estimate of the data

rate at which the DUT is responding. If the Compare Mode is

differential, select ON for

DSGA Compare Mode Differential

Otherwise, the single-ended mode allows you to connect Tx- to the

DSGA and Tx+ to the oscilloscope to verify that the DUT is working by

using the oscilloscope decoder. The

Single-Ended Settings

are as

follows:

Single-Ended Wire

: Select either Normal or Complement.

Threshold Voltage

Min: -800mV

Default: 100mV

Max: 800mV

d) Controlling the Analyzer with the Low Speed Analyzer (DSGA)

connected

Change

Analysis Selector

to Analyzer to control the Frame Error Ratio

Measurement (see

 Figure 24

). when the DUT is working in the ‘PACP

Test Mode’. This test mode is explained in Section 5.7.15 of the UniPro

specification (version 1.8). The DUT is put into test mode and high

speed bursts are sent from the M8040A to the DUT. Then theM8040A

sends packets to access the frame counter and the error counter from

specific registers of the DUT. The Tx responses from the DUT will be

configured to be sent back in PWM gear. The DUT responds back to the

counters with the PACP packets, which will then be analyzed by the

Analyzer of the DSGA.
