CONDUCTING START-UP
4.
Conducting start-up
Prevent the wastewater pump(s) from running dry as this may cause them to be damaged. Never switch on pumps
if the wastewater container is not filled to the minimum level.
4.1.
Conducting function check / start-up
4.1.1
Switch position ON
If the intake occurs via one of the scored areas instead of the intake connection, check the level for the switch
position ON and adjust if necessary.
• Ensure that the bottom edge of the intake is no more than 360 mm above the floor of the wastewater container.
If higher, adjust the measurement determined in menu item 3.1.12.
4.1.2
Pump post run time
Depending on station configuration and the length / diameter of the pressure pipe, a post run time that deviates
from the factory setting may be required.
Function check
• Visual check through opening the cleaning cover: Ensure that the level in the wastewater container is at least 1
cm <A> beneath the immersion pipe <32> (pressure sensor) after pumping. The immersion pipe must be venti-
lated after every pumping procedure.
In order to prevent the pump from running dry, increase the post run time only by a factor of 1.
If necessary, increase the post run time via the settings menu in the control unit by a value and check again.
• Conduct a function check of the Station using the control unit.
See the control unit operating and maintenance manual.
Start-up must be conducted in accordance with EN 12056-4:2000,
which requires precise testing of station components as well as a
written record of all important data.
