3.2.3 Connecting the pressure pipe
Depending on the station arrangement, plastic or grey cast
iron fittings are used
Plastic fitting
• Mount shut-off valve <17> if required (optional).
• Connect pressure pipe <A> as follows:
• vertically on the drainage connection <20>.
• horizontally on the shut-off valve.
Pay attention to tightening torques, see page 6.4.
Grey cast iron fitting
• Attach the fitting as shown, tighten all bolts hand-tight initially:
- backflow protection device <25>
- Y-branch pipe <15>
- shut-off valve <17>
Bolts <34> and <35> have different lengths: <34> = 65 mm <35> = 40 mm
4 bolts are used for each flange..
• Tighten all bolts, from top to bottom
• Connect pressure pipe <A>2 to drainage connection <20>.
Pay attention to tightening torques, see page 6.4.
