■

Manual Dimmer Change

You can manually change the display illumination to
suit the lighting conditions where you are operating.

Press 

[DIM]

 to select from 5 levels, including OFF.

Note:

  Selecting OFF automatically switches Auto Dimmer Change

ON.

Auto Dimmer Change

This function increases the display intensity one step
brighter for approximately 5 seconds when you press
a front panel button or Mic key, or turn the 

Tuning

control.  No change occurs if you have selected the
brightest level.

 to enter Menu mode.

Select Menu No. 2 (A.DIM).

Press 

[OK]

, then turn the

 control to switch

the function ON (or OFF).

 again to complete the setting and exit

Menu mode.

BEEP VOLUME CHANGE

The transceiver beeps each time you press a front panel
button or Mic key.  You can change the beep volume or
turn it off.

DISPLAY DEMONSTRATION

By initiating this function, various pre-programmed
displays appear.  You still can normally use the
transceiver in this mode.  Pressing a front panel button
or Mic key, or turning the 

Tuning

 control restores the

operating display immediately.  If there is no button/key
entry or 

Tuning

 control adjustment for approximately

12 seconds, the transceiver reverts back to
Demonstration mode.
