Maintaining the system components
The following is a list of essential activities that should be
carried out during maintenance. Additional information can be
found in the manufacturer’s instructions supplied with the devic-
es. The list not intended to be exhaustive.
It is important to observe the legal and relevant technical regula-
tions as well as the requirements of local conditions, such as the
regulations of the relevant electricity and water utility companies.
Valves
2.1
KEMPER WESER stop valves are maintenance free. However,
as part of maintenance/inspection work, the functionality of
handwheels or levers should be checked by opening and closing
them.
Checking the free drain 2.2
According to EN 806-5, the free drain must be checked for pollu-
tion and leak tightness.
During this check, no water may be drawn off via the
FK-5.
This prevents dirt and limescale residues from settling on balls,
discs and valve seats.

Remove the yellow cap from the tank. The free drain can be inspected from the front.
Make sure that the drain is clean
and closes tightly.
Replace the cap.
