Operation is based on the principle of excess air pressure in the protective screen. Using this
principle, no external ambient air charged with harmful substances can make it into the user‘s
respiratory zone and thus also no harmful substances that may be caused by various tasks.
The KEMPER autoflow XP
®
blower respirator system supplies the protective screen with
cleaned air via an air hose. The face seal in the protective screen causes overpressure that
prevents aerosols from forcing their way into the user‘s respiratory zone.
The KEMPER autoflow XP
®
blower respirator system fulfils all requirements in accordance
with EN 12941:2009-02 and is classified in the equipment class TH2P.
1.4 Safety Guidelines
Because faulty use can constitute a risk to life and health, the following safety guidelines must
be observed:
• National regulations must be observed, e.g.:
- BGR 190 Regulations for the use of breathing apparatuses
- BGI 504-26 Selection criteria for special occupational health precautions in accordance
with the trade association policy G26 „breathing apparatuses“
• Carefully read and follow these instructions.
• The user must be familiar with the use and handling of the blower respirator system.
• Licence is not valid in case of faulty use or use of impermissible components.
• The oxygen content of the air must be at least 17 Vol%
• Type and concentration of harmful substances must be known.
• Do not throw or heavily impact the blower respirator system components.
• The particle filter used in the blower respirator system does not protect against gases and
vapours and may only be used for aerosols (floating particles) that do not contain hydrochloric
acids and/or fluoride (e.g. do not use the blower respirator system with alkaline rod electrode).
• The blower respirator system may not be used in potentially explosive areas.
• Unventilated containers, pits, tanks, canals, small rooms, etc., may not be entered with
the blower respirator system.
• The blower respirator system must be turned on before use.
• Be sure that the connecting hose between the blower unit and the protective screen
does not get caught on protruding parts.
• The minimum nominal volume flow must be checked before each use.
