13. Operation mode explanation

13.5 GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION
• Deadman operation, the user presses a control button near the system with full view of the operation, as long
as the user presses the control button it moves the leaf in open or close direction.
• The moment the user releases the control button, the movement stops immediately.
No additional safeguards needed, but still recommended.
• After the operating button is pressed, the open or closing movement starts automatically and stops at about
25 cm from the end, before the danger zone of the risk of crushing.
• To continue operating the door over the last part, the button must be pressed continious with full view of the
action until it is completed (in open or close direction).
Additional safeguards are mandatory but can be kept to a minimum.
• With a push of the button (open or close command) the sliding window will automatically open or close in the
desired direction according to the given command.
• At any time the movement can be stopped by a pulse command in the opposite direction, the door will stop
immediately, the next command will move the leaf again.
This mode absolutely requires the necessary safety accessories to prevent the risk of crushing.
• With one pulse the sliding window can be opened or closed, following next sequence
OPEN-STOP-CLOSE-OPEN-STOP-CLOSE-OPEN-STOP-...
• At any time the movement can be stopped by a pulse command, the door will stop immediately, the next
command will move the leaf again.
This mode absolutely requires the necessary safety accessories to prevent the risk of crushing.
• When the smart slider is properly adjusted, the AUTO prog. procedure register a power measurement value
associated with a position during the opening and closing procedure.
• This self-learning power limit is adjustable in all stages (see Parameter menu), this gives optimal comfort during
the execution, in case of any risk of crushing the door will stop and slide approx. 20 cm in the other direction
to clear any obstacle.
However, this power measurement detection is not sufficient for shielding the most difficult areas from
possible risk of crushing.
