Installation and Configuration
Connecting counter/timer signals
The KPCI-3101–4 Series board and STA-300 screw terminal panel provide counter/timer chan-
nels that you can use to perform the following operations:
•
Event counting
•
Frequency measurement
•
Pulse output (rate generation, one-shot, and repetitive one-shot)
This section describes how to connect counter/timer signals to perform these operations. Refer
to
“Counter/Timer features” on page 2-19
for more information on using the counter/timers.
Connecting event counting signals
shows one example of connecting event counting signals to the STA-300 screw ter-
minal panel using user counter 0. In this example, rising clock edges are counted while the gate
is active.
