7. HDD Smart Check

This is a function to notify the user possibilities of HDD crash in advance.
This, by advance warning, is to protect the HDD from losing data or crashing that may come from bad
sector or overheating.

When the installed HDD has a problem such as bad sector or overheated DVR will beep or this icon

will appear.

�

It is strongly recommended to replace HDD when the HDD warning icon appears or beeps.

�

The beep will appear every 10 seconds.

HDD smart check function works only when the HDD in use supports S.M.A.R.T

Check whether the HDD installed supports S.M.A.R.T.

�

Avoid using old HDD or low capacity HDD.
