6 Preventative maintenance and repair work

Safety instructions

Before starting any repair, overhaul or maintenance work, the

main switch should be turned off and secured.

Before opening the rear wall, all current to the machine must be
cut off. Switch motor protection swich to the "OFF" setting and
pull the plug of the power supply, if available.

Only original spare parts may be used for replacement.

Only qualified electricians may undertake work on the electrical

installations.

Interference with the control unit, modifications to the process

sequence and changes to the wiring are not permissible. We are
thereby released from any guarantee obligations and liability.

6.1

Resharpening cutter assembly

A sharp cutter assembly is absolutely necessary to achieve the best
results.

Have resharpening done by qualified personnel only!

The K+G WETTER customer service department and the customer
service departments of our contract partners offer this service at a
good price.

6.2

Lubrication

Lubricate lubrication nipples on the operating side of the meat
mincer (Fig. 1, Pos. 5) once a month.
Only taste and odour neutral foodstuff-quality lubricants should be
used for lubrication. We recommend the use of special K+G
WETTER foodstuff quality lubricating grease. Lubricate lubrications
points with a little K+G WETTER lubricating grease (foodstuff
quality) (1 or 2 pumps with the supplied grease gun).

6.3

Yearly maintenance activities

The following maintenance work should be carried out annually to
maintain operability. We recommend a maintenance contract with
K+G WETTER customer service or with a contractor
(see the enclosed reply sheet).

Checklist of yearly maintenance activities:

-- Grease and check all bearings.
