THE SOFTWARE

The majority of operator controls are located in toolbars on the screen. The number of tools in each

toolbar, and therefore the number of toolbars, will depend on the resolution setting on your computer
display. The resolution setting for the display below was 1024 by 768.

There are 5 pulldown menus in the top toolbar: FILE, VIEW, ACTIONS, SETTINGS and HELP.

The selections available under each heading:

    

File:

• Record new file

 - Records a new sonar file. (Note: Press-

ing the “F1” key will also record a new sonar file)

• Open file for playback

 - Open an existing sonar file.

• Record highlights to new file

 - Records a portion of the

existing sonar file to a new file.  See page 29 for
more details.

• Save screen as a picture

 - Saves the image on the sonar

screen as a Bitmap file.

• Print Screen

 - Prints the sonar image shown on the monitor.

• Print Preview 

- Shows how the image will look when it is printed.

• Print Set up 

- Allows the operator to select the printer and various printing options such as

paper size and orientation of the image on the page.

• Exit -

 closes the SONAR VIEW program.
