Maintenance and repairs
6.1
Preparing the truck for maintenance and repairs
All necessary safety measures must be taken to avoid accidents when carrying out
maintenance and repairs. The following preparations must be made:
Procedure
• Park the truck on a level surface.
• Fully lower the main and auxiliary lift.
• Park the truck securely, (see "Parking the truck securely" on page 57).
• Switch off the truck, to do this:
• Turn the key in the key switch left as far as the stop and remove the key.
• Press the red button on the ISM access module (

).
• Press the Emergency Disconnect.
• Disconnect the battery to prevent the truck from being switched on accidentally.
• When working under a raised lift truck, secure it to prevent it from lowering, tipping
or sliding away.

Risk of accidents when working under the load handler, driver's cab and lift
truck

When working under a raised load handler, driver's cab or a raised truck, secure
them to prevent the truck from from lowering, tipping or sliding away.

When raising the truck, follow the instructions in chapter C, “Transport and Com-
missioning”. When working on the parking brake, prevent the truck from acciden-
tally rolling away (e.g. with wedges).
